| A Truly Unique Artistic Collaboration
Mary Cole and Maureen Howard are the artists behind the Alberta-based HAW studio. Theirs is a truly unique artistic collaboration. Building from each other's perceptions and talents, ideas blossom and transform until the end product is something that neither one could have foreseen. In order to make that a positive process, they have to put their "egos" on hold and be open to listening and learning - a process not without its humour! Besides a passion for art, both are professionals who work in the field of psychology Their collaboration flourished when they purchased alpacas to help in their therapeutic work with families. Besides being great 'co-therapists', these wonderful animals provided much fodder for paintings, murals and ceramics. From that beginning, it was only a matter of time before their fondness for the quirks and foibles of human nature began to emerge in their art. The main studio is located just outside of Pincher Creek, Alberta. Set in the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the scenery provides inspiration and a quiet place for the creative process. HAW offers their clients custom work, corporate gifts, site-specific projects as well as the on-line store. Collaboration...Creativity....Humour....Hallmarks of a HuhSee Art Work.
